Ooh! Ooh! I Know!
The teacher called on Jonathan—
I had my hand up first.
He couldn’t even answer “What’s
the opposite of worst?”
My arm is getting sore ‘cause, like,
I’ve kept it up so long,
and yet she called on Bethany,
who got the next one wrong.
Oh please! This stuff’s so easy! Betcha
I could teach this class
(and Kyle, “The Stinker,” should have known
that methane is a gas).
Hello! You might try picking me.
It’s just a small suggestion.
“Uh, yes ma’am?…Me?…Oh gosh—I guess
I didn’t hear the question.”
