For four years, a student named Norm
did not wash his gym uniform.
The smell of his clothes
assaulted the nose,
and the flies were attracted in swarms.

About the Author

Author of the art appreciation series, Bob Raczka’s Art Adventures, Bob studied art and advertising in college. He has worked as an advertising writer for 30+ years.

His first poetry book, Guyku: A Year of Haiku for Boys, was awarded the Claudia Lewis Award by Bank Street College. His book of concrete poetry, Wet Cement, received five starred reviews. And his picture book about abstract art, Niko Draws a Feeling, was a Charlotte Zolotow Honor Book.

Bob and his wife Amy have three grown children, Robert, Carl and Emma, plus two dogs, Penny and Pippa. Bob loves golf and the Cubs.
